With its twenty-foot ceilings, oak-paneled book cases, and long wooden desks, Kirby Library houses 30,000 volumes related to government, law, and political science. Named for Fred Morgan Kirby, vice-president of the F.W. Woolworth Company and a trustee of the college from 1916 to 1940, the Kirby Library is approaching its centennial and retains the grandeur of its Beaux-Arts design.
