Why did you choose Lafayette?

I chose Lafayette because of its strong commitment to supporting both students and faculty and its emphasis on creating a collaborative and intellectually engaged academic community. I was particularly drawn to Lafayette’s focus on undergraduate education and the opportunity to work closely with students, both in and outside the classroom. The College’s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment aligns closely with my own values as a scholar and teacher.

I was also attracted to Lafayette’s liberal arts setting, which encourages interdisciplinary engagement and thoughtful conversations across fields. My research naturally lends itself to these kinds of interdisciplinary conversations. I see Lafayette as a place where I can contribute meaningfully to the intellectual life of the College while continuing to develop as a scholar and teacher.
