Why did you choose Lafayette?
What drew me to Lafayette was the chance to do rigorous research without sacrificing the joy of teaching, all in a genuinely supportive environment. I get to bring undergraduates directly into my work as collaborators, and Lafayette gives me the resources to support their interests over four years. I was also struck by how much my colleagues clearly care about both their scholarship and their teaching, and by the sense that those two things reinforce each other rather than compete. This balance is exactly what I was looking for, and Lafayette turned out to be a great choice to pursue it.
